Chronic pain is a common and distressing problem. It lasts at least 12 weeks and usually doesn’t respond well to medications and treatments. It commonly
occurs because of an injury, a disease, or an operation but can also present without any cause.

  • Broken bones
  • Nerve damage

Long-term conditions such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome and certain types of cancer cause incessant pain. These conditions have been known to trigger other complications such as depression, anxiety and insomnia affecting the persons quality of life.
